RURAL AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM (RAD-C)

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

RAD - C is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) designed to create a coordinating company that brings together world-class supply chain managers, service providers and Agro-input manufacturers, agricultural mechanization experts, best practice extension agencies as well as farm management, logistics, marketing, crop insurance, agricultural finance experts to a single platform with Farmers to create an efficient “End – to – End” platform for profitable and sustainable agricultural production venture.

The RAD – Consortium seeks to create a coordinating company that will bring together Agro – Inputs manufacturing companies, farm equipment manufacturers and suppliers, Agricultural Financing entities, Extension Agencies, Commodity Off takers and Marketers as well as other value -chain actors to take advantage of the available interventions and investment opportunities for a fast, result-oriented and transformative development of the Agricultural sector through the Integrated Public-Private Community Outgrowers Scheme “i – PPCOS”.

The immediate objective of the RAD Consortium is the annual cultivation of 30,000 MT Soybean; 60,000 MT Cowpea; 70,000 MT Wheat; 200,000 MT Maize; 360,000 MT Rice; 1,500,000 MT Cassava across 10 States in Nigeria.
