YOUTH INCUBATION CENTER HUBS

BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Youth Incubation Centre (YIC-Hubs) is a farm practical centre where youths are trained in Agribusiness with knowledge-transfer, market-oriented and business and sustainability-oriented approaches.
The Objective of the project is to incubate youths across the 774 Local Government Ares of Nigeria in Agribusiness which will dough tail into income/employment generation, as well as ensuring food and nutritional security in the Country.
The enlisted youths in the Hub will be tutored on modern agricultural technologies and good agricultural practices (GAP) that guarantee high productivity, appreciable return on investment as well as technical application and cost efficiencies. The empirical systems to be learnt cut across Agricultural fund management, crop production and crop protection strategies, effective farm management, business approach to Agriculture, climate-smart agriculture, Agricultural value chain management, product processing and value addition, soil and land management strategies, agricultural extension practices and integrated farming techniques.
The target crops will be based on the demand and that which has a comparative cultivation advantage within the specific locality. The Incubation is expected to last for 24 months after which each of the youth graduate with a certificate. They will also be empowered with 40% of the profit realized at the incubation centre for their Self Owned Production (SOP).
